Occupation Description
The Coordinator External Affairs is able to juggle multiple projects in support of the government affairs team. In this multifaceted role, he will be responsible for supporting Government Affairs professionals with their policy and advocacy efforts on a diverse range of issues. He/she liaises between CED and governmental entities.
Job Scope
- Address the needs of the External Affairs Team. This includes but is not limited to material preparation and distribution, managing correspondence, coordinating and organizing with government entities.
- Manage weekly, monthly, and other calls or meetings. This includes scheduling, creating agendas, taking notes/ minutes, and sharing materials with participants.
- Keep external affairs Log Book containing permit progress details, cases, and solutions.
- Handle all types of legal, and governmental registrations.
- Devise and implement external communications plans that help deliver the organization's strategy.
- Build a network of legislative contacts and maintain strong relations with governmental and non-governmental stakeholders.
- Track and provide legislative and regulatory information on country issues to internal stakeholders.
- Perform any additional tasks as requested according to the company’s policies and procedures.
Necessary Experience
Minimum of 3 – 5 years of experience in a similar position, preferably in a similar industry.
Education Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Political Science or a related field is preferred.
