Occupation Description

The Senior Manager External Affairs provides guidance to operational leadership in developing policies, operational procedures, and practices that are compliant with the relevant laws, regulations, and company corporate compliance policies and procedures. He/she liaises between CED and governmental entities.

Job Scope

  • Handle and maintain strategic business partnerships with government, contractors, and consultants.
  • Develop and manage the governmental affairs function.
  • Obtain all permits, licenses, ministerial decrees and approvals.
  • Keep an external affairs Log Book containing permit progress details, cases, and solutions.
  • Handle all types of legal, and governmental registrations.
  • Devise and implement external communications plans that help deliver the organization's strategy.
  • Build a network of legislative contacts and maintain strong relations with governmental and non-governmental stakeholders such as contractors and consultants.
  • Track and provide legislative and regulatory information on country issues to internal stakeholders.
  • Provide suitable investment opportunities to comply with the company’s expansion plan.
  • Deal with Army-related agencies such as National Service Projects Organizations (NSPO) and Armed Forces Land Projects Agency.
  • Perform any additional tasks as requested according to the company’s policies and procedures.

Education and Training

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Military, Engineering, Political Science, Economics, or Law.

Most Common Work Experience Requested

  • 15+ years of experience, with a minimum of 3 – 5 in a similar position, preferably in a similar industry.
