Role

The Senior Accounts Payable Accountant controls expenses by receiving, processing, verifying, and reconciling invoices in compliance with financial policies and procedures.

Key Accountabilities

  • Keep track of all payments and expenditures, including payroll, purchase orders, invoices, statements, etc.
  • Lead on Reconciling processed work by verifying entries and comparing system reports to balances.
  • Receive invoices of PO’s & invoices of Contracts & Fixed assets invoices.
  • Maintain historical records.
  • Prepare analyses of accounts and produce monthly reports.
  • Match invoices with purchase request, Po, Contract, Product Receipt, Budget approvals …etc “5 Way Matching”.
  • Conduct required allocation of Invoices with Multi Cost Centre.
  • Book accrual Entry of invoices in 4S system and print the entry & Vendor SOA.
  • Adjust Budget approvals by E-mail for any re allocation.
  • Issuing CR “Check or Cash Request”.
  • Record CR on Commitment Sheet then submit CR for Next step of workflow cycle.
  • Book Payments entry after receiving it from treasure and print the entry & Vendor SOA.
  • Reconcile corporate credit card & collect supported Docs, of transactions to book it daily.
  • Review Advance Payments Accounts & Following with department to settle advances.
  • Build Monthly accruals of all branches.
  • Reconcile of Post-dated checks, Corporate Credit Card & Payroll bank account, vendor statements, and correct discrepancies.
  • Conduct analysis, as requested.
  • Perform any addidtional task as requested.

Necessary Experience

•    3 – 5 years of related experience, preferably in a similar Industry.

 

Education Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Accounting or Finance.
